6. Offshore Accounting Team and Service Support
EH Tax Accountants may use offshore accounting team members or overseas-based support personnel to assist with accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation support, document processing, payroll support, administrative tasks, data entry, reconciliation work, reporting preparation and other back-office or professional support services.
Where offshore team members are involved:
- They may access client information only where reasonably necessary to perform assigned work.
- They are required to follow confidentiality, data protection and internal security procedures.
- Access to client records is controlled and limited according to role and work requirements.
- Work may be reviewed, supervised or checked by authorised EH Tax Accountants personnel.
- EH Tax Accountants remains responsible for managing the client relationship and service delivery.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be accessed or processed by authorised offshore team members or service providers where reasonably necessary for us to deliver services.
Tax Practitioners Board guidance recognises that registered tax practitioners may use outsourcing or offshoring arrangements, but they must consider Code of Professional Conduct obligations including confidentiality, competency and appropriate disclosure to clients.
7. Client Consent for Offshore Support
By continuing to use our services after receiving these Terms, you consent to EH Tax Accountants using authorised offshore team members, contractors or service providers for service delivery support, subject to confidentiality, security and professional review procedures.
If you do not want your information to be accessed or processed by offshore personnel, you must notify us in writing before engaging our services. We will consider your request, but this may affect our ability to provide services, turnaround time, service availability or pricing.
8. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:

- Reviewing documents, reports, returns and lodgements before approval

- Keeping portal login details and communication channels secure

We rely on the information you provide. EH Tax Accountants is not responsible for errors, delays, penalties or losses caused by inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or late information supplied by you or your authorised representatives.
9. Lodgements, Deadlines and Approvals
Where we prepare tax returns, BAS, payroll reports, SMSF documents, financial reports or other compliance materials, you must review and approve the information before lodgement.
We are not responsible for delays, penalties, interest or losses caused by:
- Late or incomplete information from you
- Failure to approve documents on time
- Incorrect or missing information provided by you
- Government portal delays or outages
- Third-party software or platform issues
- Changes in law, regulator guidance or processing timeframes
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Final responsibility for the accuracy of information supplied to us remains with you.
10. Fees, Payments and Invoices
Fees for our services may be fixed, quoted, estimated, subscription-based or charged according to the nature and complexity of the work.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Fees are payable according to the invoice or engagement terms
- Payment must be made by the due date stated on the invoice
- Additional work may attract additional fees
- We may pause or stop work if invoices remain unpaid
- Outstanding amounts may be referred for recovery where necessary
All prices are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.
11. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds, cancellations or fee adjustments will be considered based on the nature of the service, work already completed, professional time incurred and applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights, guarantees or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
